  Australia Business Delegation enjoys HK Tea Fair, Food Expo and Chinese Medicine Fair  
     
  Two very different business delegations enjoyed the same positive outcome at the recent trade fairs of Tea Fair, Food Expo and ICMCM all held in Hong Kong during 13-17 August 2009.

Australian China Food and Beverage Association Inc (ACFBA) led a mission of some 20 delegates to attend the HKTDC International Tea Fair and HKTDC Food Expo. It was led by Mr. Lawrence Cho (Honorably Life President of ACFBA) and owner of Hingara Chinese Restaurant and Live Craft Centre Tea Shop “The HK International Tea Fair is a good opportunity for our tea and food delegation to learn about this new Trade Fair and gather the latest tea products and trends” Mr. Cho further adds “Its give us a chance to network with major Tea Houses of Hong Kong and China. With more of our delegates doing more tea products for our customers we believe this fair will add value to our businesses”.

Mr. Benny Wong, Chartered President and Founder of ACFBA and CEO of Citigroup Catering, mentions "We welcome this joint Trade Mission with Hong Kong Trade Development Council and believe that all delegates will benefit from this mission, this Mission is the 1st activity outside Australia since we chartered in July and we believe that ACFBA will have more joint mission with HKTDC for years to come."

Mrs. Lin Abbott, Vice President and Founder of ACFBA, also owner of Zen Living Massage Clinic in Sydney China Town comments "The delegation included some very famous Sydney Chinatown restaurants and tea houses all looking to enhance their product base and knowledge of the Food and Tea Industry in Hong Kong and hopeful bring back some new trends and products to Australia" Lin adds "The Sydney Office of HKTDC has helped our delegation with organizing a formal program while in Hong Kong and offering a VIP Invite to Networking Events and Free Entry to the Trade Show in HK"
 
     
  Australia Academy of Integrative Medicines (AAIM) led a mission of some 15 delegates to attend the International Conference & Exhibition of Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) in Hong Kong. It was led by Prof. Felix Wong from Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Centre, Liverpool Hospital Sydney, along with Mr Danforn Lim from Australian Academy of Integrative Medicine and Ms. Emily Hung from Wing Long

"The ICMCM is a good opportunity for Australian Chinese Doctors to learn more about the latest trends in Chinese health and medicine. Its gave us a chance to meet with groups in HK like the Hong Kong Jockey Club Institute of Chinese Medicine and HK University School of Chinese Medicine" mentions Mr Wong. "Our delegates attending the HK ICMCM included a wide variety of disciplines from Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, to Alternative Healthcare and Beauty specialization"

Mr Lim adds "After HK we also attended Acupuncture Programs in China, mainly in Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, this will further recognize our delegates with further formal accreditation certification in acupuncture"

Emily Hung from Wing Long another group leader comments "our delegates had a very tight program both in HK and in China.
