  HK, Mainland augment trade pact

Hong Kong and the Mainland have signed a supplement to the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement to further liberalise trade in services and enhance co-operation in trade and investment facilitation.

Financial Secretary John Tsang and Vice-Minister of Commerce Jiang Zengwei signed Supplement VII, witnessed by Chief Executive Donald Tsang on May 27, 2010.

  Secretary for Development Mrs Carrie Lam visits New Zealand

Ties between Hong Kong and New Zealand have been further boosted following the recent visit to Auckland and Wellington by Secretary for Development, Mrs Carrie Lam.

The visit - from May 4 to 7 – focussed on heritage conservation, waterfront planning and green buildings.

  HK Pavilion at World Expo 2010 Shanghai kicks off

Chief Executive Donald Tsang officiated at the opening on May 1 of the Hong Kong Pavilion and Hong Kong's Urban Best Practices Area Exhibition at World Expo 2010 Shanghai.

"I cannot help but marvel at the grand design of the China Pavilion and other pavilions. At the same time I have the honour of officiating at the opening of the Hong Kong Pavilion and to experience Hong Kong's full commitment to this international event," he said at the ceremony.

  Revitalised Brand Hong Kong goes global in Shanghai

Hong Kong has unveiled to the world the logo of its revitalised city brand - a refreshed dragon icon - at Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Pavilion at Shanghai Expo on May 1, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Mr Donald Tsang, said the world would see the revitalised Brand Hong Kong (BrandHK) and the five core values it represents through Hong Kong's participation in Expo.
