 To the 56 musical ambassadors from the Hong Kong Children's Symphony Orchestra – congratulations on your mission accomplished. You have indeed drawn the already close ties between Hong Kong and Australia/New Zealand even closer, as no matter where you come from, music never fails to delight.
In these past months, we have seen healthy exchange and engagement between Hong Kong and Australia/New Zealand – in business activities, careers development and exchange of knowledge in legal and judicial parameters. A dialogue between Hong Kong and Australia on Renminbi trade and investment has been launched. The Chief Justice of Hong Kong visited three Australian cities. Careers talks were held for young people in both Australia and New Zealand on working opportunities in Hong Kong.
Interestingly enough, in early September, during the same weekend, while local government elections are held in New South Wales, in Hong Kong, a general election will be held to elect members of the fifth term of office of the Legislative Council.
