  HKTDC:Its Show time in Sydney

  It has been an exciting first quarter of the year here at the Sydney office as HKTDC participated at 2 major trade fairs at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. From 19th – 22nd May, HKTDC exhibited at HIA's Sydney HomeShow - the leading exhibition for Sydney's home owners and renovators, which generates plenty of consumer and trade enquiries about sourcing from/selling to Hong Kong and China, with enquiries range from building and hardware materials, lighting products, kitchen and bathroom accessories and eco-friendly products. Highlight from the show included Oodles of Noodles, with professional chef cooking Chinese cuisine for consumers making enquiries about Hong Kong/China; and a seminar/light luncheon presented by Bonnie Shek on Hong Kong as the platform for helping to manage opportunities and challenges in China.

From 31st May - 2nd June, HKTDC exhibited at CeBIT - Asia Pacific's biggest and most extensive business technology event, which enable HKTDC to introduce many business contacts to trade in Hong Kong/China, and invite new contacts to attend relevant trade fairs in Hong Kong such as ICT Expo, Electronics Fair, International Lighting Fair, Eco Expo Asia and the International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair. Moreover, it was an excellent opportunity to showcase the new HKTDC i-Pad Magazine application, with Bonnie Shek unveils HKTDC's new gadget in a live demonstration for the media and press, the first such application offered in the B2B online marketplace!

HKTDC also participated in the following activities to promote and encourage Australia/New Zealand SMEs to trades with Hong Kong/China:

Workshops: How to Import from HK/China on 8th June, Turning Your Wine Business Plans into Profits from 9-10th May and Exploring International Trade in Fashion on 11th April;
Charity: Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea on 25th May;
Breakfast Seminar in Newcastle: Hong Kong: A Better Way to China for Australian Companies on 3rd June;
Networking function: Media Reception on 9th June.

  HKTDC looks forward to participate in more events and activities throughout different parts of Australia and New Zealand in the upcoming months! Stay tune for HKTDC's event on FaceBook!
