 This edition of of Hong Kong Monitor is very timely as it closely follows the visit to Australia by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, the Honourable Mr Donald Tsang. The Chief Executive visited Melbourne, Perth, Karratha, Canberra and Sydney. During his visit he met with the Prime Minister, the Governors of Victoria and New South Wales, the Premiers of Victoria and Western Australia, many senior politicians, businessmen and community representatives. He saw at first hand as many of the great things that Australia has to offer as we could squeeze into a packed programme. He also cuddled a koala. The Chief Executive and Mrs Tsang had a wonderful time, and did much to refresh and reinvigorate the warm relations between Hong Kong and Australia.
Those of you with a facebook account may have been following the Chief Executive's visit as we posted fresh photos, videos and articles about his visit on a daily basis on our "Hong Kong in Australia and New Zealand" facebook page.
