  13th Hong Kong Forum  
     
  While Asia continues to draw the world's attention, the Hong Kong Forum continues to go from strength to strength. This year, the 13th Hong Kong Forum was held on the 4th and 5th of December 2012 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Hong Kong Forum is the annual flagship event of the Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide, which has grown to include 33 Hong Kong Business Associations in 24 countries, with more than 11,000 members across Asia, Australasia, Europe and North America. The unique global network connects traders, buyers and professionals with strong business links to Hong Kong. Through the Federation, they can exchange information, share ideas and generate business opportunities. HKABA NSW Chapter was awarded a number of awards during this year's Hong Kong Forum. They are the Grand Achievement Award and the Success Story Award – ABC Tissue Products Pty. Ltd.
 
     
     
  2012 Christmas Party  
     
  The 2012 Christmas Party was held on the 17th of December 2012 at the Golden Century Seafood Restaurant where all members and sponsors were invited to gather and celebrate the joyful Christmas.

During the party, the 2013 committee members were announced as follows: Mr. Gravin Ho was elected as the President with Ms. Belinda Wong as the Vice President as well, as the Chairperson of the 2013 Business Awards Organizing Committee,Ms Bonnie Shek as the Treasurer, Mr. Richard Hughes as the Programme Committee Chairman and Mr. Jonathan Wu as the Young Professional Alliance Committee Chairman. Other committee members include Mr. Bernard Chiu, Ms. Catherine Chow, Ms. Vicky Kuok, Mr. Bob Lu, Mr. Patrick Loi, Mr. Stephen McCoy and Mr. Peter Sinn.
 
     
     
  YPA event: Success Stories for Young Professionals  
     
  Career success means different things to different people. The key to achieving that success is knowing what it means to you - is it reaching a certain leadership position in your organisation, achieving recognition as a technical expert in your industry, or building your own business to service a market niche?

As the final event in 2012, the HKABA Young Professional Alliance invited two highly regarded executives in their respective fields, Doug Ferguson from KPMG and Lance Lai from Accountancy Invest, to share their experiences on how they developed their successful career paths and what vital strategies were needed to reach their goals.

The event was held on the19th of November 2012 at Emperor's Garden restaurant.
 
     
     
  Welcome 2013 Yum Cha Networking  
     
  HKABA NSW Chapter opened up the new year with a successful Yum Cha function to promote networking opportunities among local business communities in NSW. During the function, Mr. Gravin Ho, the President of HKABA NSW Chapter gave a speech on opportunities and challenges in the coming year as well as introducing the 2013 Business Awards and the new committee members. Mr. Richard Hughes, the Chairman of the 2013 Programme Committee also gave a brief introduction of the 2013 event calendar.
