  Celebrating events for 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR
1 July is the 20th anniversary for the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.  A splendid fireworks show will be staged on that evening to allow people to share the joy of this special occasion.  A “super fireworks wall” measuring 1,250 metres long and 300 metres high is set to light up the sky over the Victoria Harbour at 8 pm for celebration.  The 23-minuite show will include multimedia components such as music, LED screens and beam lights. Apart from lighting up Victoria Harbour, the beam lights outside Golden Bauhinia Square will create amazing 3D effects with the fireworks. Read more about the story here.
 
     
  Basic Law online quiz
How well do you know about the Basic Law in Hong Kong?   Lan Kwai Fong Music and Beer Fest 2017 (15-16 July 2017)
The biggest summer celebration in one of Hong Kong’s most popular nightlife hot spots Lan Kwai Fong - Lan Kwai Fong Music and Beer Fest 2017 – will be held on 15 and 16 July 2017.  With over 60 booths offering delicious food and showcasing fine beers from around the world alongside with live band music, interactive games and all-day performances, the Festival will truly be a celebration for families, friends, foodies and beer lovers.   Hong Kong Children’s Choir Charity Concert
The renowned Hong Kong Children’s Choir (HKCC) will participate in a fund-raising concert at the City Recital Hall in Sydney on 18 July as part of its Australian tour.  Their performance will include songs ranging from Renaissance to pop jazz, and Hong Kong and Western works to showcase Hong Kong’s “East meets West” culture.
