First licensing breakfast in Sydney well received by the industry

LIMA Australia and HKTDC hosted the first ever licensing breakfast in Sydney on 3rd July.

Four licensing industry leading experts have joint a panel to discuss the latest trends in the Australian licensing industry, key industry issues as well as a lowdown on the Vegas Licensing Expo. During the panel discussion, the four panelists offered their insights of the Licensing Industry and hotly debated the future of retail. They have also answered a number of important questions relating to the extended global market.

The global licensing business finds itself in an interesting position. There are now thousands of brands to choose from combined with a demanding retail environment. Although the numbers do not include all markets global retail sales are around $115 billion dollars with royalties generated at around $5.5 billion.

More than 50 industry colleagues attended the breakfast seminar and the feedback was positive.

Dr. Who Tardius also made its way into the venue and attendees had lots of fun taking photos in front of the blue box!

LIMA Australia and HKTDC plan to capitalize on this discussion format and is planning for a second breakfast seminar event to be held in Melbourne in September. Stay tune!
