  Year end report  
     
  In 2013, we celebrated the Year of the Snake in all our Chapters. In total, we had over 1,000 guests in all the capital cities. Mr Steve Barclay, the Director of HKETO, was gracious enough to open celebrations in all our Chapters.

2013 HKABA National winnersThe National Office held its 2nd National Business Awards, together with Cathay Pacific in May 2013, with The Hon Gordon Rich-Philips as keynote speaker and The Hon Brendan O’Conner, Minister of Immigration as its guests.

The Queensland Chapter also hosted their 2nd Business Awards. Mr Robert Cavalucci, MP, Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affair, attended.

In New South Wales, the Business Awards dinner was graced by Mr Hua Xin Li, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China to Sydney, Mr Steve Barclay, Mr David Lawson and Mr Ashley Spencer, Vice President of Operations Hilton Australasia.

Victoria's Business Awards dinner had a record attendance of 350 guests and The Hon. Gordon Rich-Philips represented the Premier of Victoria, The Hon Ted Baillieu.

The South Australia Chapter Business Awards also had a record attendance of 320 guests. The Hon Alexander Downer and Lt-Gov Hieu Van Li were honoured guests.

In Western Australia, their Food & Wine Appreciation was celebrated with 12 Australian wineries showcasing fine wines.

Over 100 social and business networking events were held throughout Australia to help celebrate and promote Hong Kong as an economic hub and gateway to China.
 
     
  Federation of Hong Kong Business Associations Worldwide Awards 2013

South Australia won the Best initiative Award in Australasia and the Outstanding Membership Award – Percentage Increase Achiever. Pitcher Partners SA Pty Ltd won the Success Story Award.

Western Australia won the Outstanding Membership Award – Percentage Increase Achiever.
